This is going to be another great quilt with lots of orange (love that too)! Have a look at borders in quilters cache, that might give you some ideas: chevrons, hourglasses? Or another row of smaller log cabins?
I really like where this is going! I like the bold and bright colors in the improv blocks and how the surrounding piecing has more neutral backgrounds - it balances out so well!
