Wednesday Update

It's been a good quilting week here. I didn't do all I wanted to but still managed a lot. Here's a recap of my week:

I finished the 60 degree equilateral quilt made in Kate Spain Terrain - you can see how I made it here. This quilt is being saved as a Christmas gift for my sweet niece Sara. It's bright and happy just like her.

The background is a qood quality fleece and I used a normal cotton interface. It's a warm quilt but still quite light.

I also tested this awesome 28" block for Tracey. It's extra exciting now as the quilt is among the finalists in the Quilt Festival. If you haven't voted yet now is the perfect time. I think its a fantastic block and though it looks very complicated, Tracey's made it easy. I made this is some Joel Drewberry Heirloom fabric and are planning to do the next blocks in Primotivo fabric, which I think will go really well together.  Tracey says she's working as hard as her two adorable little ones will let her to release the pattern. Keep an eye out on her blog for the pattern :)

I also finished 3 flower blocks for a quilt Tracey is putting together for a friend. The blocks hopefully now making their way across the Atlantic ocean

With these finishes I am now focusing on finishing the Diamond & Chevron QAL though it's officially over by now. The quilt continues to grow and it's delighful to sew on. No current pictures unfortunaly. I'll make up for that next week  :)
