"Plan-as-you-go-quilt"

Indeed a WIP Wednesday. I am almost hesitant of showing my WIP project just yet. It needs a lot of ironing, fitting and cutting still. However this is WIP Wednesday after all so here you have it as it looks right now. Be kind  :)

I started this quilt end of last week. I kindly refer to it as my "plan-as-you-go-quilt". I started of by making big square blocks of 50 cm totally random design. Then I cut the blocks in quarters. Then added the flower appliques (from the Material Obsession 2 book). Not sure what will be in the rest of the blocks. I'm thinking birds... We'll see  :)

  2. I love the fabrics you've chosen for this quilt, beautiful soft colours. I love both the applique and the bento box blocks. I'm looking forward to seeing your next blocks.

  4. I'd love to see this finished!
With the lovely flower(buds) and the straight lines, all in cool (ish) colours = a very interesting combination.

  6. Nice job with the applique. I love Material Obsession - not brave enough to try anything in it yet, though. Very inspiring!
