I finished Jens quilt today... Happy to report he's now a 11 year old happy camper with a quilt warm enough to replace any duvet even in the wintertime :) You know, they say everything is a phase. I'm wondering if this heavy-fleece-quilt is too. Maybe some day my kids will want to use a normal cotton quilt again?
This picture is just from when I finished the binding - it's a bit wrinkled and needs ironing.
Looks great! My 11 year old would also be happy with a quilt like that.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Cille - definitely very thick and warm. I love how the quilting really adds definition to the piecing!
ReplyDeleteYay, so happy you met your goal! Are you happier with it now that it's finished?
ReplyDeleteHi Cille! Fantastic quilt! Quilting made that pattern really pop out! Fabrics and colours are beautiful! I always wash my quilts after finishing and never iron because I love the wrinkle look which created shadows and makes the quilting more visible. x Teje
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt & right on time!!
ReplyDeleteWhy would you want to iron a quilt, I wonder?
ohhh so pretty, I don't think it needs ironing, I love the scrunchy look
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! No need to iron it! It looks absolutely wonderful. I bet your 11 year old loves this one! Makes me want to dive right on in under it.
ReplyDeletegorgeous. love the colour scheme
ReplyDeleteHappiness is our children wanting handmade quilts from mom and snuggling in them. It's a handsome quilt for your birthday boy!
